Obituary from The Des Moines Register newspaper, Des Moines, Polk County, Iowa, USA on 12-19-1999:

Lynn D. Bishop, 64, of Norwalk died of a respiratory ailment Friday at Iowa methodist Medical Center. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Norwalk Christian Church, of which he was a member. Burial will be at Norwalk Cemetery.

Mr. Bishop lived in Norwalk all his life and was the former owner of Norwalk-New Virginia Insurance Agency. He was a volunteer firefighter and a member of Masonic Lodge and Eastern Star. He also was a former treasurer for Norwalk schools and served as a director for Norwalk-Cumming State Bank.

Surviving are a daughter, Diane Pauley of Menlo; a son, Donald of Reeds Spring, Mo.; a brother, Warren of Norwalk; and four grandchildren.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the church, where the family will be present from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to his church or Norwalk Volunteer Fire Department. Overton Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
