Obituary of Mrs. Jane Williams

Died May 8th, 1880, at the residence of her son, Alpheus Williams, in Liberty township, Warren County, Mrs. Jane Williams; one of the early settlers of the county, having moved from Shelby County, Indiana, to this county in April 1851, and settled on the land on which she died. She was born in Loudoun County, Virginia, January 21st, 1799 and was 81 years, 3 months and 17 days old at the time of her death. She united with the M.E. church 31 years ago and was a consistent member of the same and when death came it found her ready to be clothed upon with immortality above. She was followed to her last resting place by a large and sorrowing procession. May her example and her virtues ever be fresh in our memories.
