Mrs. L. H. Converse died at her home near Lorimor Sept. 26th at 2:30 p.m. Two years ago she went to a hospital where she underwent three severe operations from which she recovered, but while her vitality was low other complications set in which did not yield to medical treatment and from which she never recovered.

Luella Wines, daughter of E. L. and Mrs. Wines, was born at Knoxville, Iowa, Nov. 12, 1857, and departed this life Sept. 26th, at the age of 52 years, 10 months and 14 days. She leaves a husband and seven grown children, Mina, Frank and Orva of Council Bluffs, Garrett of Des Moines and Eva, Owen and Seth who are still at home.

Funeral services were conducted at the M.E. church by Rev. Booth after which the remains were laid to rest in the Lorimor cemetery.
