Services for Mary M. Hommer, 86, who died Tuesday, August 1, 2006, at the Indianola Good Samaritan Center, will be held 11 a.m. Friday, August 4, at the First Baptist Church in Indianola of which she was a member. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in the New Virginia Cemetery.

Born near St. Marys, IA, Mary had lived in Indianola since 1954, residing at Good Samaritan for the last 6 months. She was a clerical worker for the State of Iowa in the Department of Motor Vehicles Driver's License Division and later worked in insurance.

Mary is survived by her husband, Ronald, of Indianola; son, Stephen (Suzette) Hommer of Dallas, TX; daughters, Marilyn (Glenn) Johnson of Libertyville, IL and Sharon Harding of Omaha, NE; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sisters, Marvel Loomis of New Virginia and Geneva Hoover of Indianola, and sister-in-law, Ruth Henson of St. Marys.
