Services for Ruth (Strable) Henson, 93, who died Thursday, August 9, 2007, at the Village Health Center in Indianola, were held 10:30 a.m., Monday, August 13, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Martensdale, with burial following in the St. Marys Cemetery.

She was the daughter of Earnest and Etta Mae Strable; she grew up on a farm in the St. Charles area. Ruth graduated from St. Charles School.

Ruth married Albert Henson on Jan. 7, 1937; they lived on a farm near St. Marys. To this union 4 children were born; Alberta, Kathy, Larry, and Betty.

Survivors include her son, Larry (Terri) Henson of Martensdale; daughters, Alberta (Roy) Seymour of Prole; Kathy (Vin) Wildin of Winterset; and Betty (Don) Emehiser of Johnston; brother, Rex Strable, of Rio Rancho, NM; sister, Helen Whitlow of Winterset; ten grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; and nine great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Albert; four brothers; two grandchildren; and 1 great grandson, Mark Morgan, Jr.
