Ival Hoover, 80, of Indianola died of complications of a stroke, Tuesday, May 18, 1999, at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. Services were held May 22 at Overton Funeral Home, with burial at I. O. O. F. Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Mr. Hoover was born in Warren County, where he lived all of his life. A farmer, he also was a trucker and fur buyer for Smith Produce. He was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II and a member of North River Community Church and American Legion.

Survivors include his wife, Geneva; two sons, James of Indianola and David of Des Moines; and a daughter, Rebecca Pagel of Carlisle; and three grandchildren.
