Loren Ralph Loomis, son of Ralph and Elsie Loomis, was born January 18, 1916 in Clarke County, Iowa. At an early age he moved to Warren County where he resided until his death at Clarke County Hospital in Osceola, March 13, 1974.

Loren attended country schools in Warren County, New Virginia High School, and graduated in 1934 from St. Marys High School.

On March 16, 1937, he was united in marriage to Marvel Henson and to this union three children were born.

He was engaged in farming near Medora for 33 years, was a member of the Medora Methodist Church, and was active in community affairs.

He is survived by his wife, Marvel, 2 daughters, Jeanette Hagan of New Virginia, Sheral Jorgensen of Merritt Island, FL, son, Marvin, of Des Moines; six grandchildren, his mother, Elsie, of Indianola; 2 brothers, Dowe of New Virginia and Wendell of Big Horn, WY, and a host of other relatives and friends.
