Elmer Frederick Prall, 90, passed away March 5, 2008 at the Carlisle Care Center. A memorial service will be held on Monday, March 10 at Peterson Funeral Home in Carlisle; visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday evening at the funeral home.

ELMER was born June 13, 1917 in Carlisle, Ia. He was the son of FRED and EVA (Baysinger) Prall. He graduated from Carlisle High School in 1935 and married Edith Huffman on July 18, 1936. ELMER was a salesman for Carlisle Brick & Tile and retired from Goodwin Tile & Brick in Des Moines. He was a charter member of the Carlisle Lions Club and was the Carlisle City Clerk for many years. ELMER resided in Carlisle, all his 90 years.

ELMER is survived by his son TOM (Nancy) of Prairie City, IA, his daughter-in-law DIANA Prall of Carlisle and his grandson MARK Prall (Carrie) of Runnells, two great-grand children, a step-great grandchild, his brothers WILSON and WAYNE, and sister, MILDRED Bailey.

He was preceded in death by his wife EDITH, daughter PEGGY, son GLEN, grandson JEFF, brothers, KARL, LLOYD, ROBERT and MARVIN Prall; sisters, VIOLET Prall, ADA Moon and IVA BanDalsem.
