CLAUDE A. BOGGS (Indianola, IA) ... Claude Alton Boggs, son of Leonard Leland and Roseanna Elenor [Holt] Boggs, was born January 15, 1908, in Leavenworth, KS, and died July 17, 1993, in Des Moines, IA, from complications of cancer. He was 85 years old.

Claude farmed over 40 years in the Osceola farming community before retiring in 1979 and moving to Indianola, IA.

Claude was preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis Crawford Boggs, in 1984; three brothers, Lawrence, Clair and Floyd; two sisters, Lottie Richman and Jenny Rassmussen; and two great-grandsons, Joey Wilkens and Eric Ryan Pepper.

He is survived by two daughters, Marcile Wilkens (and son-in-law, Dwight) of Murray, IA, and Peggy Pepper (and son-in-law, Byron) of Phoenix, AZ; one brother, Ralph Boggs of Temple city, CA; one sister, Freda Rarick of Osceola, IA; five grandsons, Gerald Wilkens of Minnesota, Dwane and Lee Wilkens of Murray, IA, Melvin Pepper of Wichita falls, TX, and Brett Pepper of Seattle WA; seven great-grandchildren; and his housekeeper, Maxine DeFord.
