Services for Harold Dean Shetterly, 54, of Hartford will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Richardson's Funeral Home in Carlisle. Burial will be in the Hartford Cemetery. Mr. Shetterly died Saturday of cancer at Mercy Hospital Medical Center in Des Monies.

A lifelong resident of Hartford, Mr. Shetterly had been a driver for Yellow Freight until 1986, when he began working for Des Moines Golf and Country Club. He was a member of Community United Presbyterian Church, the Teamsters union and the Hartford Fire Department.

Among the survivors are his wife, Margie, two daughters, Sherry Tegtmeier of Marion and Michelle Oakley of Hartford, a son Michael of Hartford, his mother, Vadis Shetterly of Hartford, and five grandchildren.

Friends may call after 10 a.m. today at the funeral home, where the family will be present from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to his church or the Hartford Fire Department.
