HOMER A. STONE
Homer A. Stone, farmer, who lives northeast of Indianola, was born at Melrose Sept. 13, 1897, the son of Ira E. and Alice Stone. Mr. Stone graduated from Indianola high school and completed a business course at Simpson college. While in the United States navy he attended Iowa State college.
May 3, 1919, Mr. Stone married Agnes Maud Wright, daughter of Herbert and Maud Wright of Des Moines. Mrs. Stone was born at Mt. Vernon Sept. 23, 1896. She graduated from Simpson college in 1919. Mr. and Mrs. Stone have four children: Warren Herbert, born Nov. 26, 1921; Phyllis Marie (Core), born Aug. 9, 1923; Alice Joan and Eleanor Olive (Sherman), twins, born Jan. 31, 1930. Mr. and Mrs. Stone have lived in the Farmers Chapel neighborhood since 1919. They are members of the Farmers Chapel Methodist Church. Mr. Stone belongs to the Warren County Farm Bureau and Kappa Theta Psi. Mrs. Stone is a member of Farmers Chapel W. S. C. S. and Pi Beta Phi. Their political ties are with the Republican Party.
