JEREMIAH "JERRY" SINNARD
Jerry Sinnard, member of the Warren County board of supervisors and farmer of Beech, was born in Union Township Dec. 25, 1880. He is the son of Taylor Winfield Scott and Sarah E. (Thornberg) Sinnard. His grandfather, Thomas J. Sinnard, came from Illinois to Warren County in 1849, and settled on a farm in Union Township which is still in the Sinnard name.
Nov. 11, 1908, Jerry Sinnard married Mertie Bell Gardner, daughter of Giles C. and Matilda Ann (Evans) Gardner. Mrs. Sinnard was born at Palmyra July 12, 1883. The Sinnards have one daughter Vera Elsie, born in 1909.
Mr. Sinnard has been active in various township and county affairs. He has served as township trustee and assessor, and as treasurer and member of the school board. He has been active in various programs of the A.A.A. In 1946 he was elected to the board of supervisors of Warren County and he was a member of-the board until Jan. 1, 1953, when his term expired. He was not a candidate for reelection in 1952. Politically, he is a Republican.
