OLIVE MAY PETERSON
Olive May Peterson of Indianola was born at Ackworth May 15, 1872 the daughter of John N. and Margaret (Swan) Perry. She attended public school at Ackworth and Indianola, and also attended Ackworth academy. She married Fred Peterson, son of Peter Anderson, June 11, 1902. Mr. Peterson was born in Sweden Nov. 17, 1867, and died in 1943. They have one son who was born Nov. 27, 1903.
John N. Perry, father of Mrs. Peterson, was born in Ohio in 1844 and settled in Ackworth with his parents and three brothers in 1853. Margaret (Swan) Perry was born in Pennsylvania in 1841, and came to Iowa with her parents in 1861. The latter settled three miles east of Indianola. Mrs. Peterson is affiliated with the Democratic party. She is active in the First Presbyterian church, belonging to several church organizations. She lives at 106 West First avenue, Indianola.
