ORVILLE RAY PEHRSON
Orville Ray Pehrson, farmer, Route No. 3 Indianola, was born at Swea City, son of Robert E. and Nada McNeill Pehrson. He married Thelma Alice Butler, daughter of Thomas A. and Corinne Cox Butler, Dec. 30, 1942. Mrs. Pehrson was born at Indianola Jan. 1, 1918. They have three children: Marieta Ardyce, born April 3, 1947; John Howard, born Oct. 9, 1949; Marilea Anne, born Nov. 5, 1951.
Mrs. Pehrson is a graduate of Indianola high school and of Simpson college. Her great-grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Butler, were early Warren County settlers. Her grandparents and parents have both lived on the same farm on which her great-grandparents settled in 1854. Mr. Pehrson's grandparents came from Sweden and settled at Swea City, while the maternal McNeill family migrated to Swea City from Caloma in Marion county.
Mr. Pehrson is present treasurer of the Warren County Farm Bureau. He is also a member of the Warren County Breeders association. He is known for his singing with guitar accompaniment at community functions. The Pehrsons' religious affiliation is with the First Presbyterian Church at Indianola.
