MARTIN LUTHER PEGRAM
Martin Luther Pegram, farmer near Indianola, was born in North Carolina Feb. 11, 1871, the son of Elijah and Sarah (Flynn) Pegram. On July 29, 1894, Martin L. Pegram married Dottie Destimone Foust, daughter of Elias M. and Margaret (Hoover) Foust. Mrs. Pegram was born in Warren County Dec. 8, 1875. Four children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Pegram: Blanch L., Edith E., Paul E. and Lois M.
Mrs. Pegram's father, E. M. Foust, was a well-known farmer in Warren County, who lived on the same farm, which was purchased from the United States government during the early days, until both he and his wife passed away in 1914. Mr. and Mrs. M. L. Pegram lived on the farm, once owned by Henry Matthews, for 43 years. They are now living on what is known as the Abe Ash farm. Mr. Pegram's political ties are with the Republican Party.
