EARL MINOR
Earl Minor, son of Dr. J. C. and Hazel Severns Minor, was born Oct. 20, 1915, in New Virginia. When a small child, the Minor family moved to southwestern Iowa for one year and then returned to New Virginia which has been his home ever since. Mr. Minor graduated from New Virginia high school in 1934. On Oct. 20, 1947, he married Geraldine Sherriff, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Sherriff. They have one child, Susan Ruth, born Nov. 29, 1949.
Earl Minor served in the U. S. army from April 23, 1941, to Dec. 11, 1945. He is now a mechanic for Reed's Allis-Chalmers shop in New Virginia. He belongs to the American Legion and is a member of the Lions club. In church preference, he is Christian; in politics, independent.- ( A.E.S. ) [written by Alden Edward Smalley]
