JOE CARL MINOR
J. C. Minor, veterinarian of New Virginia, was born at Blockton Sept. 2, 1889, the son of Jesse and Olive I. Minor. After he had completed his high school education, Dr. Minor studied veterinary science at St. Joseph Veterinary college at St. Joseph, Missouri.
On July 9, 1913, he married Hazel Gertrude Severns, daughter of Sidney and Ora Alice Severns. Mrs. Minor was born at David City, Neb., June 29, 1891. Dr. and Mrs. Minor have four children: Earl Edwin, born Oct. 20, 1915; Ruby, born May 8, 1917; Joe Jr., born Nov. 5, 1918; Fred Jay, born Nov. 26, 1921. The Minors belong to the Christianchurch. Their political ties are with the Democratic Party.
