RAY McCLAIN
Ray McClain, born Sept. 13, 1888, is owner and operator of the Carlisle Grain elevator, which he organized, built and established in 1949. Mr. McClain was born in Calhoun County the son of Richard and Mary (Olive) McClain. Nellie Filena Schirner, his wife, was born in Lawrence, Kan., Nov. 8, 1890, the daughter of C. Lawrence and Mary Jane Schirner. Mr. and Mrs. McClain were married July 2, 1907, and are parents of three children: twins, Faye Iola and Flavia Leola, born March13, 1909; and Herman Glenn, born Oct. 21, 1911.
Mr. McClain is a member of the Carlisle Businessmen's club, Christian Fellowship and Civic club. They belong to the Christian Church. Address: Carlisle, Iowa.
