FRANK NESPER JENNER
Frank Jenner, farmer and for years a widely known dealer in livestock, lives on his farm southwest of Indianola. He was born Feb. 5, 1874, on the place where he now lives. His father, Alexander Jenner, was born in Erdmanhausen, Germany, Jan. 11, 1842, and his mother, the former Margaret Schimelpfenig, was born in Germany Jan. 25, 1849. Both came to the United States when they were children. During the Civil war Alexander Jenner enlisted in the Union army as a member of Company G, 127th Ohio Volunteer infantry. In 1868 he came to Warren County, Iowa, and the following year married Margaret Schimelpfenig of Indianola.
Feb. 5, 1901, Frank Jenner married Elizabeth A. Hadley, daughter of Eli and Mary Ellen (Newby) Hadley. Mrs. Jenner was born Nov. 5, 1873. Children of Mr, and Mrs. Jenner are: Berniece Ellen, born Jan. 18, 1902; Lillian Ruth, born Nov. 26, 1903; Keith Hadley, born Oct. 6, 1907; Martha Ann, born Sept. 17, 1911; Myrtle Lucille, born March 12, 1915. Berniece married John B. Christiansen. Lillian Ruth married Don Noble. Keith lives at Ft. Dodge where he teaches in the public schools. Martha married Guy H. Richard and lives at Atlanta, Ga. Myrtle married A. C. Kuipers and lives at Grand Rapids, Mich.
For years Frank Jenner and F. C. Sigler were partners in dealing in cattle. Mr. Jenner has handled thousands of head of all kinds of cattle, but Herefords have always been his general favorite. The Jenners are members of the Methodist Church at Pleasant Hill. Their political ties are with the Republican Party.
