GEORGE A. JARDINE
Dr. George A. Jardine, physician at New Virginia, was born Aug. 23, 1888, in Wilmington, Ilinois. After high school, Dr. Jardine attended Hahnemann medical college at Chicago. On April 6, 1912, he married Velma Hartzon. Dr. and Mrs. Jardine are parents of three children: Ruth, who married Richard Bender and lives at Atlanta, Ga.; Edith, who married Harry Kralik and lives on a farm in southwest Iowa; George Jardine Jr., who is practicing medicine in Denver, Colo.
New Virginia is proud to have a resident doctor to sympathize with the aches and pains of the community. Despite his busy schedule, Dr. Jardine took time to serve as mayor of New Virginia. He also has spent 30 years as president of the New Virginia school board. He belongs to the Masonic order, the Order of Eastern Star and is a member of the Lions club. Dr. Jardine is a Methodist in his religious preference. He is a Republican in politics- (A.E.S.) [written by Alden Edward Smalley]
