WORTH J. HARDIN
Worth J. Hardin, well-known farmer of Carlisle, was born in the community in which he lives Sept. 21, 1894. He is a son of William Addison and Evaline (Rees) Hardin. Mr. Hardin attended the public schools of Carlisle, and Dec. 23, 1914, he married Veda Elvina LaFon, daughter of John Thomas and Elvina Harriet LaFon. Mrs. Hardin was born at Gosport in Marion county Nov. 24, 1894. The Hardins have two sons: Edward J., born July 11, 1917, and Worth William, born Oct. 21, 1923.
For nine years Mr. Hardin was a member of the board of education at Carlisle. For a number of years he served as director of the Warren County Farm Bu-reau and as director of the Warren County Fair board. He has been a member of the board of trustees of Allen township for 20 years, and is group leader of the soil conservation program in Allen township. Mr. Hardin is affiliated with the Methodist Church, and in politics he is a Republican.
