ROSS FREEMAN
Ross Freeman, foreman for Iowa Power and Light Company in Des Moines, was born May 17, 1905, in Squaw Township, Warren County, the son of E. C. and Metta (Pouch) Freeman. He is the grandson of Elza and Hannah McIntosh Freeman, early pioneer settlers of Virginia Township. Mr. Freeman grew up in the New Virginia community, attending New Virginia High School, but graduating from Truro High School in 1924. March 14, 1932, Mr. Freeman was married. Mrs. Freeman, born Aug. 24, 1910, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George T. Moore of Guthrie County. Mrs. Freeman graduated from Guthrie Center High School in 1927. Children born to Mr. and Mrs. Freeman are Patricia Ann, born July 14, 1933; Jeannine, born Aug. 29, 1936; Joyce, born Sept. 16, 1942; Marie, born Jan. 28, 1944.
Mr. Freeman has been employed as foreman for Iowa Power and Light Company at Des Moines for 22 years. He belongs to the Masonic order and is a member of the Lions club. Both Mr. and Mrs. Freeman belong to the Order of Eastern Star. Politically they are Republicans(A.E.S.)[written by Alden Edward Smalley]
