CLEO E. "PAT" FLESHER
C. E. "Pat" Flesher of Indianola was born in the near by town of Milo Feb. 27, 1905. He is a son of Fred C. and Minnie Marie (Hess) Flesher. Following his early schooling, Mr. Flesher attended Indianola high school and Simpson college. In 1932 Mr. Flesher married Caroline Giles, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. G. C. Giles. Mrs. Flesher was born at Marny, Iowa, Sept. 15, 1905. She attended Des Moines and Drake universities, and prior to her marriage she taught in the grade schools of Council Bluffs. The Fleshers have two children: Fredric, born in 1933, and Jane, born in 1943.
His father, Fred C. Flesher, was widely known as a stockbuyer. In 1919 he located on a farm in Jackson Township. This farm, which has been mostly a stock farm, is now held by his sons, who at the present time have it stocked with white-face cattle.
In 1929 Pat Flesher engaged in stock-buying at Osceola. In 1930 he engaged in the same business at Chariton, and three years later at Atlantic. In 1942 he moved back to Warren County. From 1945 to 1952 he and his brother Charles were partners in a farm implement business in Indianola. In connection with this business they also sold Kaiser and Frazer cars for about a year and a half.
The Fleshers are members of the Methodist church at Indianola. Mr. Flesher belongs to the Rotary club and the Farm Bureau, and Mrs. Flesher belongs to the Eastern Star. [Social Security Death Index lists Cleo E. Flesher born Feb 27, 1905, died Feb 4, 1922.]
