WADE FELTON
Wade Felton, son of Pearl and Bertha Currie Felton, was born in Virginia township, Warren County, Jan. 26, 1902. He is the great-grandson of John Felton, who was born 1804 and died 1882 and who became the first settler of New Virginia in 1855. After work in New Virginia High School was finished, he farmed and did work on roads for nine years.
Oct. 11, 1921, he married Zalpha Farley. Mr. and Mrs. Felton have two sons, Jean and Don. Jean married Jeanie Holland. They have one child, a little girl Don is at home. It is now 23 years since Mr. Felton commenced to operate the St. Clair oil station on Main street. He is chief of the fire department, a Mason and a Lion.—(A.E.S.)[wirtten by Alden Edward Smalley]
