JOHN FELTON
John Felton, farmer, was born Nov. 14, 1903, in Virginia Township, the son of Carl C. and Ella McIntosh Felton. He graduated from New Virginia high school in 1924.
Sept. 13, 1927, Mr. Felton married Doris Coulter, daughter of William and Lottie Coulter of Virginia township. Mrs. Felton was born May 10, 1904, and was educated in the rural schools of Virginia township. Mr. and Mrs. Felton have two children: Ruth Evelyn, who married Gene Bowles and lives in Decatur county, and Loyd Keith, who lives in Virginia township and married Trecia Marshall of Des Moines. John Felton is a great-grandson of another John Felton who erected the first house in New Virginia. The Feltons are Methodists and in their political affiliation they are Republicans— (A.E.S.)[written by Alden Edward Smalley]
