GLENDAL FREDERICK FELTON
G. F. Felton, who has a feed and grain business in Indianola, was born at New Virginia June 24, 1915. He is the son of E. Harold and Velda Felton. His father, E. Harold Felton, was influential in Iowa politics and was speaker of the Iowa house of representatives. His great-grandfather, John Felton, came from Virginia to the southwestern part of Warren County in 1854. Mr. Felton is now the senior member of the firm of E. H. Felton & Co., which does a large grain and feed business throughout southcentral Iowa, manufacturing the "Blue Belt" line of feeds. The firm sells at both wholesale and retail.
Oct. 12, 1940, G. F. Felton married Mary Ruth Schooler, daughter of Austin and Pearle Schooler. Mrs. Felton was born in Allen Township Oct. 5, 1918. Mr. and Mrs. Felton have three sons: Mark Frederick, born Nov. 25, 1943; Scott Schooler, born April 2, 1947; Jack Christopher, born Nov. 26, 1950.
Mr. Felton was secretary of the Warren County Fair in 1950, 1951 and 1952. The Feltons belong to the Methodist Church, the Masonic lodge and the Order of Eastern Star. They are Republicans in their political convictions. Mr. and Mrs. Felton live directly north of the city limits of Indianola.
