FLOY A. FELTON
Floy A. Felton, banker of New Virginia, was born April 14, 1901, the son of Carl and Ella (McIntosh) Felton. He is a great-grandson of John Felton who built the first house in New Virginia in the year 1855. After graduating from New Virginia high school in 1919, Mr. Felton attended Simpson college.
Aug. 9, 1922, Mr. Felton married Zora Hutt, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Zed Hutt of Squaw township. Mr. and Mrs. Felton have one child Duane, born March 4, 1932. On July 1, 1926, Mr. Felton took up banking in Cumming where he remained for eight years. He purchased a farm in Fremont Township in Clarke County, bordering on the south of Virginia Township in Warren County. In September, 1938, Mr. Felton went into the banking business at New Virginia. He is at present cashier of the Norwalk-Cumming State bank, and is in charge of its New Virginia office. Mr. Felton is a member of the Lion's club, and has served as school director for 12 years. The Feltons are Methodists in their religious preference.
