CHARLES N. ELMORE
Charles N. Elmore, superintendent of Warren County schools, was born at Cainsville, Mo., Jan. 27, 1899, the son of Green R. and Mary Belle (Hamilton) Elmore. In 1923 he graduated from Missouri State Teachers college at Maryville with the degree of bachelor of science. Later he did graduate work at the State University of Iowa.
Aug. 21, 1919, Mr. Elmore married Marie A. Cox, daughter of Thomas Edward and Martha Anne (Cristy) Cox. Mrs. Elmore was born Feb. 18, 1897, at Carrolton, Mo. Mr. and Mrs. Elmore have four children: Shirley Arville (Perkins), born May 24, 1920; Wilda Marie (Felter), born July 15, 1924; Murray Burch Elmore, born March 23, 1927; Charles Marvin Elmore, born Nov. 2, 1929.
Mr. Elmore is a member of the Rotary club, the Izaak Walton league, School-masters, National Education association, and Iowa Education association. He is also a member of the Warren County Aberdeen Angus association.
Mr. Elmore belongs to the First Methodist church of Indianola. In politics he is a Republican. Address: 1001 North Buxton, Indianola.
