HOMER B. COX
Homer B. Cox, farmer of Southwest 32nd and McKinley, Des Moines, was born Nov. 2, 1880, at Indianola, Iowa, the son of Amos Ewing and Elizabeth Jane (Miller) Cox. June 24, 1903, he married Ivy Myrtle Perkins, daughter of Thomas Jones Perkins. Mrs. Cox was born at Spring Hill June 6, 1882.
Mr. and Mrs. Cox are the parents of eight children: Evelyn Fern, born Jan. 1, 1906; Harriet Lorraine, born Sept. 1, 1908; Clarence Clifford, born Feb. 21, 1910; Belva Grace, born Dec. 8, 1912; Arthur Eugene, born Sept. 5, 1914; Ivyl Homer, born Sept. 24, 1915; Russell Lowell (deceased), born Feb. 28, 1918; Eloise Marie, born Jan. 14, 1921; Harold B., born Nov. 14, 1925.
The Homer Cox family is affiliated with the Methodist church. In his political convictions Mr. Cox is a Republican.
Mr. Cox is the grandson of Noble and Mary Cox, who migrated to Warren County from Indiana in the spring of 1848, and settled on a farm in Otter Township.
