GERALD COON
Gerald Coon, retired farmer and carpenter of near Palmyra, was born at Hartford Jan. 16, 1878. He is the son of George W. and Martha (Black) Coon. His maternal grandfather, Samuel B I a c k, was a veteran of the Mexican war and a very early settler in the Three Rivers country.
Nov. 25, 1903, Gerald Coon married Codie Rawson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Rawson. Mrs. Coon was born at Hartford June 30, 1887. Martha Ellen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Coon, was born July 14, 1908. She married Pearl Wiley, who was born March 3, 1908. Mr. and Mrs. Wiley have two children: Jimmie Wilson, born Jan. 3, 1933, and Charlotte Hope, born April 8, 1937.
Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Coon are Presbyterians in their religious convictions. Fraternally Mr. Coon is affiliated with the Masons.
