THEODORE MERWIN COOK
Theodore Merwin Cook, superintendent of schools at Norwalk, was born at Oskaloosa, Iowa, March 29, 1901, son of Theodore W. and Mary M. Cook. Mr. Cook received his bachelor of arts degree from Penn college at Oskaloosa, and subsequently did graduate work at the State University of Iowa and at Iowa State college. Aug. 31, 1925, he married Mamie Emily Beaman, daughter of Elmer P. and Mina Beaman. Mrs. Cook was born at Dexter, Iowa, Jan. 30, 1903. Children are Theodore R., born Aug. 12, 1926, and Ramona M., born March 25, 1929.
From 1950 to 1951 Mr. Cook served as president of Warren County Schoolmasters, and the following year he was president of the Warren County Educational association. He is affiliated with the Society of Friends, and names his political party as Republican.
He is a member of the Masonic A.F. and A.M., National Education association and Iowa Education association. Mrs. Cook belongs to the Order of Eastern Star.
