WILLIAM VANNICE CANINE
William Vannice Canine, farmer living southwest of Indianola, was born Jan. 18, 1881, in Mahaska county, Iowa, the son' of Harvey and Sarah (Miller) Canine. Feb. 14, 1911, he married Florence Essie Bitting, daughter of Joseph and Laura (Baylor) Bitting. Mrs. Canine was born in Sedgwick county, Kansas, July 12, 1886.
Mr. and Mrs. Canine have two sons: Clarence Elmer, born Feb. 21, 1914, and Howard Vannice, born Sept. 2, 1919. Mr. and Mrs. Canine are members of the Center Chapel Methodist church. Their political ties are with the Republican party. Fraternally Mr. Canine is affiliated with Modern Woodman.
