HARRY ALEXANDER BORTELL
Harry A. Bortell, who operates the Mobilgas Service station in Indianola, was born at Grinnell, Iowa, Aug 20, I908,
the son of Elmer and Katherine (Swanson) Bortell. Sept. 25, 1928, he married Helen Marie Hink, daughter of Charles and Eda (Frederick) Hink. Mrs. Bortell was born at Grinnell May 31, 1909. Mr. and Mrs. Bartell have three children: Robert Frederick, born Dec. 22, 1930; Harriet Kay, born July 21, 1939; Roger Swanson, born March 22, 1942.
The Bortells are members of the Methodist church at Indianola, in which Mrs. Bortell is at present pastoral assistant in charge of educational promotion. Fraternally Mr. Bortell is affiliated with the Ancient Free and Accepted Masons, including the Consistory and Za-Ga-Zig Shrine. His political affiliation is with the Republican party. Mr. and Mrs. Bortell live at 811 North Buxton, Indianola.
