VANZANT, WILSON

My name is Robert Welch, and I am a graduate student studying history at Iowa State. I am doing research on HENRY C. VANZANT, a tenant who lived in or near Agency from 1850-1905. He rented a farm from GEORGE WILSON for most of this time. I was wondering if anyone might have information about either of these two men. WILSON was a relative of General Street, and was stationed at the Sauk and Fox Agency. He eventually moved to Missouri. VANZANT was from Tennessee and moved to Wapello County in the late 1840s (actual date unknown to me). I am seeking information about why VANZANT moved to Iowa, and what his connection was to WILSON, beyond being his tenant. Thank you very much in advance for your help.
