I called Jay Funeral Home in Ottumwa & talked with a gentleman about the Roscoe Mortuary records. Mr. Walter Roscoe passed away in 1931. His daughter took all of the records of the mortuary & she still has them. Jay Funeral Home tried to buy them at one time, but she refused to sell them. He has lost track of her - she moved out of Ottumwa. He does not know her current name or address. So anyone hunting for records from Roscoe Mortuary is out of luck.
