Since Pat has checked Wapello county for you, you may wish to check or send a request to Jefferson County. Eldon is close to Jefferson county and there are several Bayne burials in Abingdon in Jefferson county. That may indicate that Hessie would have more likely been near a relative at the time of her death. Since you have an exact death date (29 Aug 1904), I would contact the Jefferson county Recorders office to see if her death record might not be there.
