1854 IA, Wapello- Microfilm # FHL # 1022207 & HQ # V221-6 Archibald Russel

I have been searching for Archibald (my gg grandfather) or as I call him "sly Archie" for going on 7 years, but more up around Jones, Johnson & Linn counties, but I am holding out hope that this could possible be a crack opening up for me.........could it be???....I don't think I will be able to sleep tonight...ha

The ONLY information I have on him is that in 1866 in Linn county he is married to Susan Thompson, they have one daughter Elizabeth in 1867-1869..........however, in 1869 Susan remarries a John Garvin in Mills county, where her daughter Elizabeth Russell is raised with the Garvin family (her mother has 8 additional children with Garvin)......I have records on both of these marriages.

The BIG QUESTION or mystery is what happened to Archibald? I am assuming that he died and now Susan with a very small daughter remarries....but that is only a guess. I have no information as to Archibald's family, or his age, etc. Susan was born in 1845, so I have been using a date range of 1830-45 for him, but of course only guessing. But this Archibald in Wapallo county is about the first Archibald I have ran across in Iowa in all my years of trying to find more information.

I cannot thank you enough for any information your could provide for me regarding the above or any suggestions, recommendations you might suggest. I am open to any ideas and greatly appreciate any input you could provide.

Looking forward to hearing from you.
