Thank you for sending me the LANIGAN info, however; I need the source of the info; from what records ect::I also need to make a few corrections to the death records.
At the OTTUMWA city library, there was a listing of obits and James Lanigan who died in 1899 was listed in the look up book but it was not there. They thought that the microfilm was either stolen or the Wapello County Iowa Genealogical society took it.
Mary. E.(ELIZABETH) Lanigan was an infant daughter of Grandma and Grandpa. She was but a month old when she died. She must have died in 1927 and not 1827. I at least have a death date for her now. Thanks!
They had an infant son who had to be taken at birth cause he was too big to get through the birth canal (he weighed 16 lbs.)I have a birth of 9-08-1913. Just not a name or where he is buried. I think he is buried in with his grandma and grandpa James Matthew Phillips and Mary Elizabeth Mcdermott Phillips.
Mary E. was buried in her grandparents plot(James PHILLIPS plot) Also my grandmother Anna PILLIPS LANIGAN died 10-21-1963 and not 10-01-1963 as mentioned in your letter.
Who did you get the info from of Sarah being buried in the Lanigan plot? Grandpa's sister Sarah was born in 1857 in Syracuse Ny. She married Thomas Jr. Whalen and is buried in the Whalen Plot. This can not be right.
Margie mentioned is Margaret (Maggie) she was born 1860 and married a John Goviel JONES 11-03-1884 in Ottumwa. They had one child that I know of, name unknown but was a daughter born 10-16-1888. I can't find anymore info on this one.
Thanks again for your great help.
