V. Cervantes dies at age 88

Victoriana Cervantes, 88, Route 3, died at 6 p.m. Wednesday at her home.

Graveside rites are tentatively scheduled for Saturday with Behner Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Cervantes was born Dec. 25, 1898 in Guanajuato, Mexico, the daughter of Felix and Eduwigis Hernandez Sanchez. She married Jose Cervantes Aug. 20, 1960 in Eldon.

Surviving are a daughter, Maria Zaragoza, Fairfield; three grandsons, 11 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. Five sisters and four brothers preceded in death.

Graveside services for Victoriana Cervantes, 88, Route 3, who died Wednesday at her home, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Evergreen Cemetery with the Rev. William Sullivan officiating. The rosary will be recited at 7:30 tonight at Behner Funeral Home.
