Merle O. Adler rites Tuesday

Merle Otis Adler, 71, Route 2, died at 4:15 p.m. Saturday at his home.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Behner Funeral Home with the Rev. James A. Cecil officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery. Family visitation will be from 7 to 8 tonight at the funeral home.

Adler was born Aug. 15, 1915 in Fairfield, the son of John and Laura Shepherd Adler. He married Hazel May See Jan. 21, 1937 in Memphis, Mo. She died Oct. 7, 1979. He had lived his entire life in the Fairfield community, where he was employed as an inspector at Loudens for 30 years before retirement. He was a member of the Eagles Lodge.

Surviving are a sister, Grace Elder, Eldon, several nieces and nephews.
