Mrs. Ida Liona Stansberry, 36, died at 5 a.m. today at her home, 1923 Roemer street. She had been in failing health for some time. She was born at Livonia, Missouri, the daughter of Emma and Elijah Terrell. She is survived by four children, Leo, Wayne, Norma, and Garry, at home, her mother, Mrs. Emma Terrell of Ottumwa: two sisters Mrs. Jennie Welsh of Ottumwa and Mrs. Daisy Smith of Chicago and five brothers, Arley, Roy, Leslie, Darcy and Durward of Ottumwa. She was preceded in death by her father January 1942, and one daughter and two brothers. The body was removed to the Community funeral parlors to await completion of arrangements.
Funeral services for Mrs. Ida Liona Stansberry, who died Wednesday morning at her home 1923 Roemer street, will be held Saturday afternoon. Short services will be held at 2 o’clock in the home of her mother, Mrs. Emma Terrell of 234 Frietag Avenue and regular services at 2:30 in the Finely Avenue Baptist church in charge of the Rev. Harold Welsh. Nephews will serve as pallbearers and burial will be in Shaul cemetery. The body was removed from the Community funeral parlors to the mother’s home today.
