Mrs. Helen C. Gallagher, 63, wife of William Gallagher, 215 Chilton avenue, died at 7 p.m. Thursday at St. Joseph’s hospital. Born in Cedar Rapids, February 26, 1881, she was the daughter of Michael and Sophia Kling. She is survived by her husband, her mother, who resides in Cedar Rapids; two sisters, Mrs. Roy Toft and Mrs. Sarah Jacobson, both of Cedar Rapids, and two brothers, John Kling of Chariton and Captain Sophus Kling who is serving in the U.S. Army. Mrs. Gallagher had lived in Ottumwa for about 12 years and was a member of the Christian church at Chariton.
Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Saturday at the Lester Jay funeral home in charge of the Rev. Harold Roberts, pastor of the First Christian church. Burial will be made in Ottumwa cemetery.
