Blanche Mattingley

Blanche D. Mattingley, 94, of 110 W. Mary died at 2:45 p.m. May 26, 1984, in St. Joseph Hospital.

She was born June 6, 1889, in Franklin County, Kan., to Daniel and Laura Klingman Harper. She married Samuel J. “Joe” Mattingley on May 5, 1910, in Kansas City, Kan. He died in 1961.

She is survived by one daughter, Thelma L. Skinner of Ottumwa; one son, Elmer J. of Ottumwa; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grannddaughter.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Johnson Funeral Chapel with Errett Boyer of Ottumwa officiating. Burial will be in the Shaul Cemetery.
