Daniel Joseph Harrington, 49, of 212 Freitag avenue, died at 7 a.m. Friday at the Veterans hospital at Des Moines. He was born January 7, 1895 at Independence. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Byron. He is survived by his wife. Mrs. Sally Harrington; three sisters, Mrs. Genevieve Duffy of Storm Lake, Mrs. Kathryn Rouch of Volga and Mrs. Julia Hogan of Independence, and two brothers, Timothy of Detroit and Bernard of Knoxville. The body has been removed to the Carroll Reece funeral home to await completion of funeral arrangements.
Funeral services for Dan J. Harrington of 212 Freitag avenue, who died Thursday at the Veterans hospital at Des Moines, will be held at 9 .m. Tuesday at the Carroll Reece funeral chapel in charge of the Rev. J.H. Courtney of the Sacred Heart church in charge of the Rev. J.H. Courtney of the Sacred Heart church. Pallbearers will be members of the American Legion and the grave services will be in charge of the American Legion at Shaul cemetery.
