Mrs. Alice Howard Tutor, 74, died at 8 p.m. Sunday at her home, 321 Evergreen street. She was born March 18, 1870, at Batavia, the daughter of David and Theodosia Howard, and had been a resident of Ottumwa for the past 50 years. She is survived by the following brothers and one sister; William and David Howard, both of Ottumwa; Goldy Howard, Lawrence, Kansas; Mrs. Margaret Tutor, Mountain View, Missouri and Robert Coverdill of East Moline whom she reared. She was preceded in death by her husband, Milton Howard, who died November 28, 1943. The body is at the Johnson funeral chapel pending completion of funeral arrangements.
Funeral services for Mrs. Alice Howard Tutor, 321 Evergreen street, who died at 8 p.m. Sunday will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Johnson funeral chapel. Services will be in charge of the Rev. L.E. Welshons pastor of the First Christian church of the Open Bible and burial will be in the Agency cemetery.
