Mrs. Gyneth Amosson, 35, of 520 West Woodland avenue, wife of Orville Amosson, principal of the Lincoln elementary school here, died at the St. Joseph hospital at 7:50 p.m. Sunday. She was born at Eddyville, July 29, 1909, the daughter of William H. and Isabell Longcor, and had been a resident of Ottumwa for the past two-and one-half years. She was a member of the First Lutheran church. Surviving are her husband, a daughter Barbara Jo; three brothers, Marion Longcor, Eddyville; Ernest Longcor, Oskaloosa, and Fran Longcor, Kirkville, and a sister. Mrs. Esther Moore, Ottumwa. Also surviving are her stepmother, Mrs. William Longcor, Eddyville; two half-sisters. Mrs. Ruth McCumber, Eddyville, and Mary Lou Longcor Eddyville, and a stepsister Mrs. Forrest Hixson, Marshalltown. She was preceded in death by her parents
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the First Lutheran church in charge of the pastor, the Rev. Malvin H. Lundeen. Burial will be in Highland cemetery at Eddyville. The casket will be taken from the Johnson funeral chapel to the church at noon Wednesday and will be closed at the beginning of the funeral service.
