Mrs. Ella Skirvin, 77, died at her home 424 Waverly avenue, at 4:20 p.m. Monday. She was the daughter of Michael and Frances Dick, and was born March 10, 1867, in Wapello county, and had lived in this county her entire life. Her husband, Walter, preceded her in death in November of 1937. Also preceding her in death were a son, Clyde in April of 1941, and an infant daughter, Linnie. Surviving are two sons, Frank Skirvin, at home and John Skirvin Wood, Mrs. Maude Blew and Mrs. Mabel Box all of Ottumwa. Twenty-three grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren also survive. Mrs. Skirvin was an active member of the Riverview church. The body was taken to the Johnson funeral chapel where services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday in charge of the Rev. Ora Lovell. Burial will be in Shaul cemetery.
