John Turner, 86, former Ottumwan, died August 5, at the home of his son, Absolon Turner, at Seattle Washington. Born May 31, 1858, in England he had lived in Ottumwa from 1888 unitl about 1928. Besides his son Absolon, he is survived by a daughter, Mrs. William Madison of Des Moines, and 12 grandchildren. The body arrived in Ottumwa, Thursday and was taken to the Lester Jay funeral home where funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday in charge of the Rev. W.R. Keesey, D.D. Burial will be made in Ottumwa cemetery.
