Mrs. Elizabeth Carlson, 71, died at 6:30 a.m. Sunday at her home, 506 North Ash street. She was born April 17, 1873, in Sweden and came to America, directly to Ottumwa, where she made her home for the past 56 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gust in 1905 and by one son, Vance, May 10, 1936. She is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Hulda Larson of Minneapolis, Mrs. Augusta Mattson of Portland, Oregon, and a sister, Ellen, in Sweden: one brother, Carl Frick, of Saskatchewan, Canada, four nephews and nine nieces.
Funerals services for Mrs. Elizabeth Carlson, who died at her home, 506 North Ash street, at 6:50 a.m. Sunday, will be held at the Johnson funeral chapel at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday in charge of Gilbert Adolphson, pastor’s assistant of the First Lutheran church of which she was a member. Burial will be in Ottumwa cemetery. Pallbearers will be Adolph Swanson, John Kaiser, Albert Freed, Ora Walker, and Fred Mundt.
