Word has been received here of the death of Carl E. Andreen at his home in Washington D.C. Wednesday morning. His wife Mrs. Florence Johnson Andreen is a former Ottumwan. He was a member of the Hiram lodge, No. 10 A.F. & A.M. Washington D.C. Besides his wife, he is survived by a brother, the Rev. Alexis Andreen, Allegan, Michigan, and two sisters, Mrs. Tora Erickson and Mrs. Hilda Larson, both of Turlock, California. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Dr. Gustaf Andreen, Rock Island, and Dr. Phillip Andreen, Los Angeles, California and by a sister. Mrs. Lydia Carlson, Lindsburg, Kansas. The body will arrive in Ottumwa Friday afternoon and will be taken to the Johnson funeral chapel awaiting completion of arrangements.
Short funeral services will be held for Carl E. Andreen, who died Wednesday at his home in Washington D.C. at the Johnson funeral chapel at 3 p.m. Saturday. Masonic services will be held at the grave in Ottumwa cemetery and member of the Masonic order here will furnish the pallbearers. The body is scheduled to arrive in Ottumwa at 4:51 p.m. today and will be taken to Johnsons chapel.
